TAMIU junior Daniel Alfaro, an alumnus of Mission High School, ran a 5:23.9-minute average mile to snatch a third-place finish with a final time of 20:07.45 in an unofficial event at the Alamo City Opener hosted by Trinity University in San Antonio on Aug. 31.
