WACO, Texas (September 4, 2017) – Sophomore Cio Bargallo of the Texas A&M International University women's soccer team was named the Heartland Conference Offensive Player of the Week after breaking a school record in a season-opening win over Delta State.  She becomes the eighth Dustdevil in program history to earn weekly conference honors.
 
Bargallo was unstoppable in TAMIU's first match of 2017 scoring four goals including the game-winner in the 60^th minute just seconds after DSU had tied the match. Her four goals broke a school record and tied a Heartland Conference record for most goals in a single match. She became the sixth player in conference history to accomplish that feat and first since 2015.
 
Bargallo and the Dustdevils will return to action when they host St. Mary's on Sept. 5 at the Dustdevil Soccer Field where they will look to go to 2-0 for the first time since 2010.
