Final Stats

UT-Permian Basin swept Texas A&M International University 3-0 in Heartland Conference volleyball action on Thursday night in Odessa. The Falcons wrapped up a sweep in the two-match season series with the Dustdevils with the 30-27, 30-18, 31-29 win.

Amithy Henry led UTPB (15-9, 6-1) with 25 kills and 15 digs. Mica Lamprecht also recorded a double-double for the Falcons with 16 kills and 18 digs.

Ladys Montaño finished with 13 kills and 12 digs for the Dustdevils. Madison Mojica led TAMIU with 17 digs.

TAMIU (7-13, 4-4) will try to get back on the winning track with Saturday's match at Dallas Baptist. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. The Dustdevils defeated the Patriots 3-2 on Sept. 15 in Laredo.

TAMIU will enter Saturday's match in a fourth place tie in the Heartland Conference standings with St. Edward's. The top four teams in the Heartland regular season standings will qualify for the conference postseason tournament.
