Texas A&M-Kingsville defeated Texas A&M International in four games (28-30, 30-23, 30-18, 31--29) in non-conference action on Tuesday night in Kingsville. The loss snapped TAMIU's five-match winning streak against the Javelinas, dating back to 2002. The two teams will meet one more time this season, on Thursday, Oct. 4 in Laredo.

Ladys Montaño led TAMIU with 16 kills and 17 digs in a losing effort. Nicole Gipson contributed 17 kills and a .371 hitting percentage for the Dustdevils.

TAMIU (1-8, 1-1 Heartland) returns to conference play with a couple of home matches against tough competition. The Dustdevils will host Incarnate Word on Thursday and St. Mary's on Saturday. Both teams currently stand at 2-0 in conference play.
