Final Stats

St. Edward's defeated Texas A&M International University 68-61 in Heartland Conference action on Saturday night at Kinesiology & Convocation Building. The loss extends TAMIU's losing streak to four games.

TAMIU (5-12, 1-4 Heartland) led 35-24 at the half before SEU (5-13, 3-2) exploded for a 44-point second half. Haley Tidwell scored all of her 14 points in the second half to lead the Hilltoppers to the come-from-behind win. Charron Sumler led the Hilltoppers with 19 points.

Jasmine June led the Dustdevils with 20 points. Chevelle Hoyle and Valarie Villanueva contributed eight points apiece.

TAMIU returns to action next Thursday with a home game against Newman. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
