Final Stats

UT-Permian Basin defeated Texas A&M International University 25-15, 25-18, 25-15 in Heartland Conference action on Thursday night at the TAMIU Kinesiology & Convocation Building on campus. The result wraps up a season sweep for the Falcons over the Dustdevils.

UTPB (15-11, 5-2 Heartland) raced out to a lead in each set, leading 10-2 in set one, 10-3 in set two and 10-6 in the third set. Amithy Henry paced the Falcons with 13 kills and Brianna Ausdenmoore contributed 13 digs and 13 assists.

Alexandria Montemayor led the Dustdevils with eight kills and four digs. Madison Mojica finished with a team-high 12 digs.

TAMIU (4-18, 1-7) returns to action on Saturday with a home match against Dallas Baptist. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
