Final Stats

Dallas Baptist defeated Texas A&M International University 25-17, 28-26, 25-23 in Heartland Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the TAMIU Kinesiology & Convocation Building. DBU wraps up a two-match season sweep over the Dustdevils with the win.

TAMIU was up 24-21 in the second set before Lauren Zegarelli boosted DBU (12-10, 6-2 Heartland) to a 24-24 tie with three consecutive kills. Vickie Mundell had s solid match for the Patriots, finishing with eight kills, 30 assists and 10 digs.

Danielle Gilley contributed 34 assists and 10 digs for the Dustdevils. Madison Mojica finished with a team-high 12 digs.

TAMIU (4-19, 1-8) returns to action with a home conference home match against Heartland frontrunner Incarnate Word on Thursday night. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
