Final Stats

Incarnate Word defeated Texas A&M International University 25-17, 25-21, 25-14 in Heartland Conference action on Thursday night at the TAMIU Kinesiology & Convocation Building.

UIW (15-13, 9-1 Heartland) was effective with the serve against the Dustdevils, finishing with 12 service aces. Chera Smith notched a team-high four aces and Kim Kvapil contributed 13 kills and three aces for the Cardinals.

Nicole Gipson led the Dustdevils with eight kills and three block assists. Madison Mojica finished with a team-high 14 digs.

TAMIU (4-20, 1-9) returns to action with a home conference match against St. Mary's on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
