Incarnate Word Snaps TAMIU Winning Streak At Nine Games

Incarnate Word defeated Texas A&M International University 2-0 in Heartland Conference action on Friday night in San Antonio. The result snapped TAMIU's school record nine-game winning streak.

UIW (12-6, 7-2 Heartland) scored both goals on successful penalty kicks by Michael Terrell. The Dustdevils finished with three shots on goal but Cardinal goalkeeper Gil Ben Nachum made saves on all three to record his seventh shutout of the season. Luis Rincon finished with four saves for the Dustdevils.

TAMIU (12-5, 5-4) will conclude the season on Sunday with a road game at St. Edward's. A win over the Hilltoppers would secure a third place finish in the final Heartland Conference regular season standings. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
