Final Stats

Eastern New Mexico defeated Texas A&M International University 89-75 in second day action at the St. Mary's Classic on Wednesday afternoon in San Antonio.

TAMIU held an early 8-6 lead but ENMU would fight back to take a 41-31 halftime lead. The Zias led by double-digits most of the second half with the Dustdevils getting no closer than eight points.

Krystal Manning made a layup at the 14:47 mark to cut the lead to 50-42 but ENMU responded with a 15-6 run to build an insurmountable 65-48 lead at the 10:16 mark. The lead stood at 14 points at the 5:31 mark.

Jasmine June led the Dustdevils with 16 points and seven rebounds. Mary Tobias and Manning finished with 15 points apiece and Chevelle Hoyle contributed 11 points.

TAMIU will return to action on Jan. 8 for the Heartland Conference opener against UT-Permian Basin. It will be a home contest with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Kinesiology & Convocation Building.
