UTPB Beats Dustdevils

Final Stats

UT-Permian Basin defeated Texas A&M International University 4-1 in Heartland Conference action on Sunday in Odessa. The result extended TAMIU's losing streak to three games.

Maxine Caballero scored in the 30th minute, boosting TAMIU (1-6, 0-2 Heartland) to a 1-0 halftime lead. UTPB (3-4, 1-0) would respond with a four-goal outburst in the second half. The Falcons recorded a 22-3 shot advantage in the second half and a 36-8 edge for the game.

Junior Mary Jo Hall went the distance in goal, finishing with 13 saves.

TAMIU will return to action next weekend with the team's first home action of the season. The Dustdevils will host Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday and Newman on Sunday.
