Final Stats

St. Edward's shutout Texas A&M International University 3-0 in Heartland Conference action on Sunday afternoon at Dustdevil Field. The Hilltoppers dominated the pace of the game, finishing with a 32-1 edge in shots taken and an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.

SEU (14-3-1, 9-2 Heartland) scored the only goal it would need on a short-range shot into the net by Janae Averett in the ninth minute. TAMIU (0-18-1, 0-11) senior goalkeeper Mary Jo Hall made 14 saves but the lack of offense doomed any hopes of an upset by the Dustdevils.

TAMIU will close-out the season with a home game against Incarnate Word on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
