Final Stats
UT-Brownsville defeated Texas A&M International University 10-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Dustdevil Field.
UTB (21-20) took control early, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning off TAMIU starter John Gonzáles, who fell to 3-5 with the loss.
TAMIU (10-23) did manage seven hits but the offensive was stymied by hitting into four double plays. The Dustdevils also stranded seven runners.
TAMIU returns to action this weekend with a four-game Heartland Conference series at Oklahoma Panhandle State. First pitch in Friday's doubleheader is scheduled for noon.
