Incarnate Word defeated Texas A&M International University 8-0 in Heartland Conference action on Tuesday evening on the UIW campus in San Antonio. The Cardinals (3-0, 1-0 Heartland) took 23 shots in the first half en route to building an insurmountable 6-0 halftime lead.

TAMIU (0-1, 0-1) returns to action on Friday afternoon with a road game at Texas A&M-Commerce. The Dustdevils will then face West Texas A&M on Sunday in Commerce.
