Final Stats

Midwestern State defeated Texas A&M International University 7-0 in non-conference action on Friday afternoon at Dustdevil Field. MSU (6-0-1) held a modest 2-0 lead at halftime before erupting for five goals in the second half, including three goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation.

Goalkeeper Mary Jo Hall finished with a season-high 18 saves for the Dustdevils but she could not hold off a relentless Indian offense by herself. MSU finished with a 32-5 edge in shots taken, recording 16 shots in each half. TAMIU (0-7-1) was limited to one shot in the second half.

TAMIU returns to action on Sunday with a Heartland Conference home contest against Newman. Kickoff against the Jets is scheduled for 1 p.m.
