Texas A&M International University snapped a five-game losing streak with a 58-56 Heartland Conference road win over Oklahoma Panhandle State on Thursday.

Johnna Williams made a jumper with seconds remaining to provide the go-ahead basket for TAMIU (3-14, 2-3 Heartland). OPSU's (4-11, 1-3) Jade Stafford then missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer to allow the Dustdevils to escape with the win.

Williams and Courtney Dixon led the Dustdevils in scoring with 13 points apiece. Mary Tobias finished with 11 points and 4 steals and Kiandra Metoyer contributed a team-high 9 rebounds.

TAMIU out-rebounded OPSU 38-30.

TAMIU remains on the road to play at UT-Permian Basin on Saturday. Tip-off against the Lady Falcons is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
