Final Stats
Arkansas-Fort Smith defeated Texas A&M International University 86-59 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Stubblefield Center on the UAFS campus. The result wraps up a two-game season sweep for the Lady Lions over the Dustdevils.
UAFS (7-12) jumped out to a 13-4 lead en route to a dominating win. The Lady Tigers led 47-20 at the half and TAMIU (3-17) would get no closer than 23 points in the second half.
Kiandra Metoyer led the Dustdevils with 14 points. Courtney Dixon finished with 10 points and Johnna Williams contributed 8 points and a team-high 9 rebounds.
TAMIU will play its next two games at home, hosting Newman on Thursday and Lincoln on Saturday at the Kinesiology and Convocation Building on campus. Thursday's game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
