Final Stats

UT-Permian Basin swept Texas A&M International University (27-25, 25-19, 25-23) in Heartland Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the TAMIU Kinesiology & Convocation Building.

TAMIU (1-19, 1-7 Heartland) trailed 24-20 in the first set before tying the score 25-25 on a UTPB (9-16, 5-4) attack error. The Falcons then got kills from Jamie Rodell and Melissa Lusk to take a 1-0 lead.

The second set was tied 19-19 before the visiting team went on a 6-0 run to go up two sets and the third set was tied 23-23 before the Falcons wrapped up the win on a TAMIU service error and a kill by Sara Torres.

Bianca Mares led the Dustdevils with 13 kills and Clarissa Martínez finished with a team-high 17 digs. Brittany Faison finished with 24 assists with Cassandra Rivera contributing 14 assists.
