Final Stats

Newman swept Texas A&M International University (25-18, 25-22, 25-22) in Heartland Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Fugate Gym on the NU campus in Wichita, Kan.

Newman (11-14, 6-4 Heartland) finished with a 40-37 in kills and 38-35 edge in digs.

Jacquelynne Matula led TAMIU (1-21, 1-8) with 11 kills on 23 attempts. Clarissa Martínez led the squad with 12 digs.

TAMIU returns to action on Wednesday for its home season finale against St. Mary's. First serve against the Lady Rattlers is scheduled for 7 p.m.
