Final Stats

Dallas Baptist defeated Texas A&M International University 3-2 in Heartland Conference action on Thursday afternoon in Dallas.

Ashley Wall provided TAMIU a 1-0 lead on a goal off of a corner kick in the eighth minute but DBU's Brittany Layne would score two goals over the next 17 minutes to push the Lady Patriots to a 2-1 halftime lead.

Alexia Chávez scored for the Dustdevils in the 58th minute to tie the score 2-2 but the Dustdevils would not score again with DBU (6-9, 4-3 Heartland) earning the win on a Allyson Bales goal in the 63rd minute.

DBU controlled the pace of the game, finishing with a 21-9 advantage in shots taken and 12-2 edge in shots on goal. Sasha Scott kept TAMIU (4-9, 1-6) in the game by making nine saves.
