Final Stats
Ninth ranked Truman State defeated Texas A&M International University 3-1 in non-conference action on Sunday morning in Wichita, Kan. The neutral site game hosted by Newman University was the regular season finale for both teams.
Truman scored two goals in the first 20 minutes before taking a 3-0 lead on a goal in the 46th minute. Leonardo Ramos cut the TSU lead to 3-1 on a goal in the 61st minute but the Dustdevils would get no closer than that margin.
Despite the loss, TAMIU accomplished a lot this season, earning its first Heartland Conference title and its second 10-win season in three years. The Dustdevils went 7-1 in Heartland Conference play and finished with a 10-6-2 overall record.
Five of TAMIU's six losses this season came against ranked opponents with two of those losses being decided by one goal and three being decided by a two-goal margin. It was another strong finish for the Dustdevils, who posted a 6-1-2 record over the final nine games.
