Texas A&M International University men's basketball will sponsor a Salvation Army Toy Drive in conjunction with this week's home games against Monterrey Tech. All fans donating an unwrapped toy will be granted free admission to either game against the Borregos.
Tip-off at the TAMIU Kinesiology & Convocation Building for Thursday's game is 7 p.m. with Friday's game slated for a 5 p.m. start. All fans donating toys will receive a 50% discount coupon good at the Starbucks located at Killam Library on campus.
TAMIU and Monterrey Tech have played four times but have not met since the early part of the 2006-07 season. They played on back-to-back nights on Nov. 20-21, 2006 with TAMIU winning the opener 68-59 and MT winning 54-53 in the finale. The all-time series stands at 2-2.
