Final Stats
St. Mary's defeated Texas A&M International University 68-42 in Heartland Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio.
Courtney Dixon hit a 3-pointer to tie the score 22-22 at the 3:36 mark of the first half but St. Mary's (19-6, 11-2 Heartland) ended the period with a 14-0 run to take a 36-22 lead at the break. The Rattlers took a 20-point lead less than five minutes into the second half and a 30-point lead at the 7:09 mark.
Dixon led the Dustdevils with 11 points. Johnna Williams finished with 10 points and a team-high 9 rebounds.
TAMIU (4-20, 3-8) will conclude the regular season with home games against UT-Permian Basin, Oklahoma Panhandle State and St. Edward's. That stretch will start with Thursday's home game against UTPB at the Kinesiology and Convocation Building on campus.
