Final Stats

UT-Permian Basin swept Texas A&M International University in Heartland Conference action on Friday afternoon on the UTPB campus in Odessa. UTPB won the opener 9-2 before posting a 4-3 extra innings win in game two.

TAMIU (7-19 Heartland) scored three runs on one hit in the second inning of game two to take a 3-2 lead. UTPB (18-9) scored one run in the bottom of the seventh inning to push the game into extra innings. Ryan Giacomini won the game for the Falcons with a two-out RBI double in the ninth inning.

The Falcons and Dustdevils will conclude the series with a doubleheader tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
