Final Stats

Texas A&M International University defeated Oklahoma Panhandle State 18-10 in Heartland Conference action on Sunday afternoon in Goodwell, Okla.

The Dustdevils held a 3-1 lead after three innings and an 11-8 lead after six innings. TAMIU scored three runs in the top of the seventh to build an insurmountable 14-8 advantage.

TAMIU (10-20, 9-20 Heartland) out-hit OPSU 15-11 with Chris Collazo leading the Dustdevils with four hits and five RBI. He contributed a solo home run in the sixth inning and a two-run homer in the eighth inning. Luis Bracero contributed two hits and three RBI and Josh Sepulveda and Justin Mariscal finished with two RBI apiece.

Mike McGillivray (2-4) earned the win after allowing six earned runs on 10 hits in 5.2 innings pitched. Margarito Segovia allowed one earned run on one hit in 3.1 innings of relief work.

The Dustdevils and Aggies will conclude the series with a doubleheader tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
