Texas Woman's defeated Texas A&M International University 10-2 in five innings in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Pioneer Field in Denton. The win secured a three-game sweep for the Pioneers over the Dustdevils.

TWU recorded eight hits over the first two innings en route to an early 6-0 lead. Briana Sánchez cut the deficit to 6-2 with a two-run home run in the top of the third inning before TWU (27-13) answered with three runs in the bottom of that frame to build an insurmountable 9-2 lead.

Victoria Beltrán (7-8) took the loss for the Dustdevils. She allowed six runs on eight hits in 1.1 innings.

TAMIU (17-23) returns to Heartland Conference action with a key three-game series at St. Edward's this weekend.

SEU enters the weekend in second place in the Heartland Conference with an 11-0 league record while TAMIU is a half-game behind with a 11-1 conference mark. St. Mary's leads the league with a 12-0 record in Heartland Conference play.
