Four different players scored to lead Texas A&M International University to a 4-1 win over Ouachita Baptist on Sunday afternoon in a neutral site game played at Richland College in Garland.
TAMIU (2-2) jumped out to a 2-0 lead on the strength of first half goals by Luís Salas and João Bacchi Abel Villavicencio pushed the lead to 3-0 when he struck a deflected ball off of the OBU goalkeeper into the net early in the second half.
Ouachita Baptist cut the lead to 3-1 a couple of minutes later but Kristian Quintana iced the game for the Dustdevils when he sliced the ball into the net on a shot taken near the end line with about 20 minutes left in regulation.
Alexis Salazar finished with two assists on the day and Villavicencio and Quintana contributed one assist apiece.
TAMIU out-shot OBU 16-14 with a 7-4 edge in shots on goal. Emmanuel Frias went 70 minutes in goal for the Dustdevils with Jesús Cisneros going the last 20 minutes. The two combined for three saves.
