Final Stats

Newman swept Texas A&M International University (25-16, 25-23, 25-26) in Heartland Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the TAMIU Kinesiology & Convocation Building.

Alexandria Montemayor led TAMIU (0-11, 0-1 Heartland) with seven kills. Clarissa Martínez finished with a team-high 10 digs.

Newman (5-6, 2-0) was strong at the net, finishing with 12 blocks compared to three blocks for the Dustdevils.

TAMIU will play four straight matches on the road, staring with next weekends road trip to Oklahoma Panhandle State and UT-Permian Basin.
