Final Stats

St. Mary's shutout Texas A&M International University 3-0 in the Heartland Conference opener for both teams on Wednesday afternoon in San Antonio.

Carolina Hernández scored all three goals for the Rattlers, with two of those goals coming in the first 20 minutes.

StMU outshot the Dustdevils 22-13 with a 10-6 edge in shots on goal. TAMIU goalkeeper Sasha Scott finished with seven saves and St. Mary's goalkeeper Felicia Lombardo recorded six saves.

TAMIU (2-4, 0-1 Heartland) will play two home games this weekend. The Dustdevils will face UH-Victoria in a non-conference contest on Friday before hosting UT-Permian Basin in a Heartland Conference contest on Sunday.
