Final Stats

UT-Permian Basin defeated Texas A&M International University 94-76 in Heartland Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Falcon Dome in Odessa.

TAMIU (6-18, 3-4 Heartland) led early but UTPB (17-5, 6-1) led 30-12 at the 11:59 mark of the first half en route to a 58-35 halftime lead. The Falcons kept the pressure up early in the second period, starting with a 13-2 run to build an insurmountable 71-37 at the 16:18 mark.

UTPB made 11 of 32 3-pointers compared to one of 10 treys made by the Dustdevils.

Johnna Williams led TAMIU with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Linda Bañuelos contributed 18 points and Linda Chacon finished with 10 points.
