Final Stats

Texas A&M International University defeated Our Lady of the Lake in four sets (25-23, 23-25, 29-27, 26-24) in non conference action on Tuesday evening in San Antonio. It was the first ever meeting between the teams.

OLLU (1-6) held a 23-20 lead in the fourth set before TAMIU (2-3) stormed back with a Jacquelynne Matula closing out the win for the Dustdevils.

TAMIU finished with a 49-38 edge in kills in the contest. Andrea Marshall led the way with 12 kills and 10 digs with Alex Ciszek finishing with 11 kills. Desiree Ortíz contributed a team high 13 digs and Daria Winckler pitched in with 42 assists and 11 digs.

TAMIU returns to action this weekend at the Angelo State Tournament. The Dustdevils will face Angelo State and Abilene Christian on Friday and Tarleton State and Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday.
