ODESSA, Texas - Six players scored in double figures for U.T. Permian Basin, as the Falcons knocked off the Texas A&M International University Women's Basketball team Thursday night 79-68.

The Dustdevils struggled to shoot the ball finishing 22-71 (31 percent) from the field and 5-18 (27 percent) from three point range. The Falcons opened the game with an 11-5 run and extended their lead to 22-12 at the 12:42 mark. TAMIU cut the lead down to nine points late in the period, but UTPB closed the half with a 12-8 run taking a 12-point advantage (45-32) into the break.

The Dustevils looked poised for a comeback in the second half, trimming the lead to six points (51-45) and then down to four (56-52) with just over eight minutes remaining. But the Falcons were too much late in the game, ripping off a 23-8 run to take a 19-point advantage (79-60) with 1:03 remaining and then cruising to a 79-68 win.
