Box Score STEPHENVILLE, Texas (November 14, 2015) -- The Texas A&M International Women's Basketball team (0-2) was plagued with a 57-74 loss to Tarleton State (2-0) on Saturday night. The Dustdevils complete the 2015 Texann Tip-Off Classic with a 0-2 record to start their 2015-16 season.Â
The Dustdevils looked to break even in game two of tournament action against the host, Tarleton State. Falling behind early against the Texanns in the 17-point loss, TAMIU was unable to capture a lead.
TAMIU caught up to their Lone Star Conference rivals to tie the score on four different occasions throughout the game. An effort of 100% completion of free throws in the 2nd and 3rd quarters were not enough to catch the Texanns.
The Dustdevils led with 28 points in the paint against the Texanns, who had 22. TAMIU also took the advantage in second chance points, with 13 over Tarleton State's 10. Senior

Ashley Perry also contributed 100% by going 1-1.
Up next, the Dustdevils will host Texas A&M Kingsville in their home opener on Wednesday, November 18th at the TAMIU KCB. The Dustdevils will look to rematch the Javelinas, who took a 57-60 victory over TAMIU in the first game of the season. The action is set to start at 7:00pm CST.
