DALLAS, Texas (October 29, 2016) - The Texas A&M International University Women's Soccer team closed out regular season play in Dallas on Saturday. The Dustdevils were dealt a 0-4 loss, finishing with a record of 1-16-1 (1-12-1 HC).
Playing in their final regular season game, TAMIU looked to take the finale.
Dallas Baptist would go up early, scoring in the third minute of play. A ball through the box was chipped over the keepers head, putting TAMIU down 0-1.
The teams would play the next 24 minutes without a goal before DBU extended their lead. A header played past
Kiyana Lopez would put the Dustdevils behind by two.
A third Patriot goal would come in the 35th minute of play. TAMIU faced a three-goal deficit after 45 minutes of play.
The Dustdevils would come out strong defensively in the second half, holding DBU scoreless for nearly 20 minutes. The Patriots sealed the game with a fourth goal in the 64th minute.
TAMIU was held without a shot in the second half but managed three chances in the first 45 minutes.

Felipe Arias commented after the game, "Early defensive mistakes determined the outcome of the game. There was a significant improvement on behalf of our team during the second half."
The Dustdevils 2016 ended Saturday and was highlighted with a Senior Day win over Oklahoma Christian.
