TAMIU Shutout 1-0 By Hilltoppers
LAREDO, Texas - Texas A&M International (2-7, 1-6 HC) fell to St. Edward's (6-2-2, 6-0-1 HC) 1-0 on Thursday.
Neither team was get much offense going in the first half the Dustdevils were held to just four shots and the Hilltoppers to three. However, TAMIU had to great opportunities to score a Cio Bargallo had a shot saved in the 26th minute, with Nicole Cohen having a shot saved in the 31st minute. Neither team was able score in the first 45 minutes though.
The second half showed a different story unfortunately. Just seven minutes in to the period, SEU's Katherine Whitman found the back of the net for the game's only goal. The Dustdevils only chance to answer back came two minutes later, as Samantha Ruiz fire a shot only to have it saved by the Hilltopper keeper.
TAMIU will continue the four-game homestand on Saturday, Oct. 6 as they welcome St. Mary's at 7 p.m.Â
