LAREDO, Texas - Texas A&M International (5-3-2, 3-3-1 HC) fell in heartbreaking fashion on Thursday to St. Mary's (6-2-2, 4-2-1) 3-2 in overtime.

The game was an aggressively fought affair on both sides of the ball, with teams showing heavy offensive pressure early. The Rattlers' Pato Botello Faz broke the seal in the 22nd minute on pass from Ollie Wright to go up 1-0. However, Rodrigo Zuniga would score the equalizer three minutes later as he chipped a shot over a defender with an assist from Cem Izgec to knot things at 1-1.

The second half played out much like the first. STMU broke the stalemate with another goal from Botello Faz in the 52nd minute on a pass from Carlos Blasco. However, once again TAMIU would set things square with a goal from Johan Portales in the 81st minute on a pass from David Martinez, and force overtime.

The first overtime saw most of the offense come from the Dustdevils, as they had three shots saved compared to the Rattlers one.

Unfortunately, St. Mary's Aidan Henry would end the match with a game-winning on a pass from Luis Aranada to seal the 3-2 victory in the 105th minute.

TAMIU will be back in action as they travel to Wichita, Kan. on Saturday, Oct. 6 to face off against Newman.
