Dustdevils Fall At Home To DBU

Box Score LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International volleyball was unable to open its second home stand with a victory, falling to DBU, 3-0.
 
The Patriots (8-1, 6-1 LSC) had a rough start, but propelled to a straight set victory.
 
The Dustdevils (1-12, 1-5 LSC) jumped ahead quickly in set one, leading DBU 11-6 early. Unfortunately for TAMIU, DBU went on what would be a 19-6 run to end the set and take the opening set 25-17.
 
Set two was all Patriots early, jumping out to a 20-9 lead, but down the stretch, the Dustdevils strung together a couple runs, ultimately falling 25-17 again.
 
Set three saw TAMIU fall behind, but claw its way back to within as many as three, but DBU was able to hold off any threat, taking the final set 25-20.
 
The Dustdevils must move on from the home setback, as they take the court tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m., facing Texas Woman's to end the weekend.
