SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer concluded its 2021 regular season on the road against St. Mary's, but in the end, it was the Rattlers (12-6, 5-3 LSC) getting the best of the Dustdevils (6-10-1, 3-5 LSC), 1-0.

The contest was evenly matched, with both teams having nearly equal the chances to put a goal on the board.

St. Mary's got the lone score of the game at 27:32 and managed to hold on the remainder of the contest.

The Rattlers held the first half edge, taking eight shots to TAMIU's five, but the second half saw the Dustdevils take 12 shots to 10 for St. Mary's.

The final total was 18-17 in shots in favor of the Rattlers, but 8-5 in shots on goal in favor of TAMIU. The Dustdevils held the corner kick edge at 6-5.

Nils van der Landen did all he could, stopping four of the five shots he faced.

TAMIU season comes to an unfortunate end, as everything that needed to go the Dustdevils way in a loss went the opposite way, as UT Tyler defeated DBU and UT Permian Basin who held the head-to-head over TAMIU defeated Lubbock Christian.
