DALLAS – Texas A&M International volleyball had their win streak and season come to an end as they fell to No. 17 Tampa in the semifinals of the AVCA Division II Women's National Championship tournament on Friday.
The Dustdevils met their match against No. 17 Tampa as they fell 3-0 in a tightly contested semifinal matchup. TAMIU battled the Spartans in the opening set as Tampa took the 30-28 decision. The Spartans would go on to take the second frame 25-18. The Dustdevils would not go quietly as they made Tampa work for the win with the 29-27 decision.
Mackenzie Catalina was named to the All-Tournament team for her performance throughout the the tournament.
