WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Texas A&M International women's basketball overcame an 11-point deficit to extend its winning streak to three in a 72-71 win over Palm Beach Atlantic.

TAMIU (8-4, 1-3 LSC) was in an even matchup in the first quarter, as the score stood 13-13 with 3:34 remaining. Over that final time, however, Palm Beach Atlantic (6-4, 2-2 SSC) scored 10 of the final 14 points to lead 23-17.

In the second, the Sailfish would continue to hold the lead, growing it to as many as 11, helping take a 41-33 lead into halftime.

The Dustdevils looked to begin chipping away in the third, but the teams were nearly back and forth the whole frame, as it was still an eight point, 59-51 lead in favor of Palm Beach Atlantic through three.

TAMIU quickly locked in to open the fourth, cutting the deficit to just two points, and continued to trade baskets throughout, until a late 4-0 run, punctuated by an Angelique Morgan layup with seven seconds remaining gave the Dustdevils its first lead since the 5:24 remaining mark of the first quarter and the victory.
