WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer was stifled by Southern Nazarene to open the Midwestern State Classic, falling 3-0.

It was the Storm (2-2-1) who struck first at the 26:00 mark to take a 1-0 lead and followed that just 4:52 later to take what would be a 2-0 lead into halftime.

It wasn't until 12:50 remaining in the game where Southern Nazarene scored its third and final goal, making it 3-0.

TAMIU (1-3) struggled to get offensive rhythm throughout. The Dustdevils were outshot 17-9 in the game, however, not one shot was on target for TAMIU, while the Storm had eight reach the cage.

TAMIU has one more contest left in the Midwestern State Classic, as they will meet Fort Hayes State on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. in Wichita Falls.
