Dustdevils Fall to Patriots After Late Penalty

Laredo, Texas – Texas A&M International men's soccer fell to DBU 2-1 at home on Saturday after the Patriots scored the go-ahead goal in the 59th minute.

DBU opened in the scoring in the fourth minute but the Dustdevils tied it up in the 17th minute when Jordan Mase found the back of the net off an assist from Johan Portales.

The defense locked in for the rest of the first half and into the second half but a penalty kick allowed DBU to score the eventual game winner.

DBU totaled 13 shots, nine of which were on target the Dustdevils finished with 11, four of which were on target.

TAMIU is now 4-3-3 on the season and 0-1-1 in LSC play. They will be in action next at 7 p.m. on Wednesday on the road at Oklahoma Christian.
