Vancouver, B.C., Canada – TAMIU Women's Basketball faced off against Simon Fraser securing the victory, 82-75.
At the end of the 1st Quarter, the score was Simon Fraser 14-13 over the Dustdevils. The Dustdevils had trouble getting anything going in the second quarter and Simon Fraser went into the locker room with a lead of 36-28.
The Dustdevils put together a remarkable turnaround in the third quarter, scoring 33 points, while Simon Fraser scored 22 points, shifting the momentum in favor of the Dustdevils.
In the final quarter, TAMIU continued their strong performance with 21 points, while Simon Fraser scored 17 points.
Ngozi Obineke led the Dustdevils with a double-double, 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Malea Jackson added 20 points for the Dustdevils.
Riley Long and
Samiyah Worrell also made significant contributions, scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Simon Fraser, on the other hand, fought hard, with Jessica Wisotzki leading her team with 22 points. Gemma Cutler and Sophia Wisotzki added 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Despite Simon Fraser's efforts, TAMIU managed to secure a hard-fought victory. After an impressive 3-0 start to the season, the Dustdevils return home to face Chadron State on Sunday, November 12 at 1pm at the TAMIU KCB.
