LAREDO, Texas – Texas A&M International men's and women's golf wrapped up play in the Jack Brown Memorial Golf Tournament Tuesday, with the women placing second, and the men finishing in sixth place.

On the women's side, TAMIU ended the tournament with a +44 (620), trailing only team champion West Texas A&M, who shot a +38 (614).

Three Dustdevils finished in the top 10, and five finished in the top 20 overall individually. Only TAMIU had three players in the top 10.

Leading the way for the Dustdevils was redshirt senior
Yuliana Yapur, who shot a +5 (149) to finish in second place.

Bailey Anderson and junior Yee Iamtrugal followed in a T-7th, just six strokes behind Yapur with a +11 (155), while senior
Kristine Torralba placed T-17th with a +16 (160).

Tanika Yadilokwong earned a top 20 finish, ending T-20th with a +17 (161), while Redshirt junior
Arya Gadekar finished 31st with a +21 (165).

Kathryn Castro (+26 170) just missed the top 40, with a 42nd, while Junior
Carolina Mendez (+27, 171) placed T-43rdÂ

For the men, TAMIU finished, where they ended day one of the tournament in sixth place as a team, shooting a +19 (628).

Mauricio Figueroa led the Dustdevils in a T-4th after a +1 (145). He started the day in seventh but shot par on day two to climb the leaderboard.Â

Elvis Steen finished in a T-22nd, shooting a +11 (155).

Gunner Clapper finished in a T-27th after shooting +15 (159), and Joel Alfaro carded +25 (169) to place 37th.Â
