GOODYEAR, Arizona – Texas A&M International Men's Golf is tied for 14th out of 20 teams after the first day of the RJGA Palm Valley Classic on Monday after shooting +45 (621) over two rounds of golf.
TAMIU shot 301 over the first 18 holes and 320 in the second round. They are two strokes away from Fort Lewis College for 13th and have a two-stroke lead on Arkansas-Fort Smith.
Junior
Mauricio Figueroa leads the Dustdevils and is currently in sixth place. He shot even (144) over two rounds shooting 73 and 71. He is two strokes out of first place.
Freshman
Elvis Steen is tied for 33rd after day one shooting +8 (152) and freshman
Oscar Feschuk is in a T-95th after shooting +19 (163).
Sophomore
Gunner Clapper and sophomore
Zaden Danielson are in a T-99th after shooting +20 (164).
TAMIU will compete in the third and final round on Tuesday, April 4.
