Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Comes Up Short Against DBU

Dallas, Texas- The Texas A&M International Men's Soccer team took to Dallas on Wednesday to take on the Patriots in what would be the last regular season game for the Dustdevils. Going into the match, the TAMIU Dustdevils were coming off a victory again Sul Ross State pushing their record to 3-10-2 while the Dallas Baptist Patriots sit at 4-5-7 on the season.

Both teams would start the game off slow, showing more of a defensive style of play. The two competitors suffocated each other on the defensive end which did not allow for many shots on goal. This also led to the first half of play being nil-nil. However, the second half was a totally different story.

The Patriots would be the first to strike as they scored in the 63rd minute with a goal by Hunter Dierlam which was assisted by Gavyn Rosales. The Dustdevils would be quick to strike back as Tiziano Klamer nailed a goal to the back of the right side of the net. Klamer was assisted by teammate Chris Fuentes. This would even the score but there was still plenty of time to play in this match. Unfortunately, a red card on the Dustdevils would cause them to play with a man down. A made penalty kick by Peyton Voelker would seal the deal for the Patriots as they went up 2-1. The Dustdevils were not able to answer back.

After the loss tonight, the Dustdevils will finish the season 3-11-2 overall and 1-8-1 in the Lone Star Conference.
