Laredo, Texas – The Dustdevils (13-10, 9-8) faced Oklahoma Christian (9-19, 5-17) in a Lone Star Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon in the TAMIU KCB. An early offensive surge set the tone early and the Dustdevils held on for the victory in the end, 64-60.

The opening half saw TAMIU take control, leading 35-26 at halftime. OKC struggled with their shooting in the first half, managing a 32.26% field goal percentage and a 14.29% success rate from beyond the arc. The Eagles faced challenges in containing TAMIU's Emaniel Alexandre and Shannon Strickland, who combined for 31 points in the first half.

The second half witnessed a spirited comeback from OKC, outscoring TAMIU, 34-29. The team improved its shooting percentages, finishing the half with a 46.43% field goal rate. Despite the efforts, they couldn't fully close the gap. TAMIU's defensive efforts, led by Shannon Strickland with 3 steals and 1 block, proved crucial in securing the victory.

Emaniel Alexandre led the Dustdevils with 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Shannon Strickland added 14 points and 8 rebounds. Olaverr Camacho contributed 12 points and 6 rebounds.

The Dustdevils return to action on Thursday, February 15 at 8pm in the TAMIU KCB to face DBU.
