Laredo, Texas – The Dustdevils finished the series 3-1 against the Falcons after a 17-8 win in game 4 on Sunday afternoon at Jorge Haynes Field.

The opening inning saw TAMIU take the lead as Joseph Cruz's solo homer marked the first run. UTPB responded in the 2^nd inning with a solo homer by Coats, leveling the score at 1-1. Haggerty's single in the 3rd inning for UTPB brought in a run, tying the game at 2-2.

In the 4th inning, Boswell's three-run homer propelled the Falcons to a 5-2 lead. Ariben Gutierrez narrowed the gap with a single, making it 5-3, while Joseph Cruz's single brought in two more runs, leveling the game at 5-5.

The 5th inning featured a dominant performance by the Dustdevils. Prieto's triple and subsequent hits by Benitez, Gutierrez, Cruz, and Cervantes resulted in seven runs, establishing a commanding 12-5 lead. In the 6th inning, Stanwick's triple added another run, making it 13-5.

UTPB attempted to close the gap in the 8^th inning, with Hamlin scoring on a passed ball and subsequent runs by Hall and Rigtrup However, TAMIU solidified their lead in the 8th as Abiam Medina hit a grand slam, extending their advantage to 17-8.

Joseph Cruz, had a home run, a double, and 5 RBIs. Abiam Medina, hit a grand slam and had 4 RBIs. Isaac Stanwick added a triple and an RBI. The winning pitcher, Cody Templeton, pitched seven strong innings, allowing only five hits and securing the win.

The Dustdevils travel to Tyler, TX to face the Patriots of UT Tyler in a four game series beginning on Friday, March 1 at 7pm.
