San Antonio, Texas- The Dustdevils took to action again on Sunday afternoon as they took on the St. Mary's Rattlers. The Dustdevils entered the contest 7-8 overall while the Rattlers came into the game 8-4 overall thus far this season. The Dustdevils were just coming off a loss on Friday against the Hilltoppers and they were looking to bounce back into the win column against a fellow Lone Star Conference foe.

Much like the other evening, the first half was back and forth action as both teams kept pace. With 8:10 left to play, the Dustdevils would take their biggest lead of the evening at 18-11 against the Rattlers. The Dustdevils shot 11-20 from the field, 4-11 from three, and were a perfect 5-5 from the line as they just trailed going into the half 27-29. The Dustdevils would lead the Rattlers in field goal percentage, three-point percentage and free throw percentage for the game. However, points off turnovers ended up being the deciding factor. TAMIU scored 12 points off turnovers while STMU scored 22 points off turnovers. The final score being 72-62, a ten-point differential.

Overall, TAMIU shot 20-45 from the field, 8-19 from three and finished the game 14-16 from the charity stripe. TAMIU once again showed their deep rotation as they combined for 35 bench points. There were nine lead changes, and the score was tied eight times during the game.
Elijah Bailey had a huge night for the Dustdevils, scoring 19 points, dishing out two assists, one steal and two rebounds.
Duncan Alevok led the Dustdevils in rebounds with five. Alevok also had three blocks and six points on the evening.
Esteban Roacho led the way in assists for the Dustdevils with five. Roacho and Ignowski finished the night with eight points each.

The Dustdevils move to 7-9 (2-5 LSC) overall. The Dustdevils will be back in action at home January 9
th against Oklahoma Christian University at 7:30 PM CDT.
