Edmond, Okla. – The Texas A&M International Dustdevils faced Oklahoma Christian on the road in a Lone Star Conference matchup. Despite taking the first set in a commanding 25-13 victory, the Eagles battled back to take the match 3-1.
The Dustdevils (3–15, 1–8 LSC) came out firing in the opening set, hitting .467 with 17 kills to jump ahead of the Eagles early. TAMIU's efficient attack was led by
Mia Molina, who finished with eight kills, nine digs, and two aces, while
Aryana Ledet added eight kills, 11 digs, and three aces.
Danea King contributed seven kills and a pair of blocks, while
Caitlyn Cornell was a force at the net with five kills and three total blocks.
Natalia Cisneros and
Dilean Bounds combined for 32 assists in the match, helping pace the offense through four sets.
Defensively, the Dustdevils collected 46 digs, with Ledet and Molina leading the effort.
The Dustdevils return home Oct. 24 & 25 for matches against Lubbock Christian and Midwestern State. First serve against the Lady Chaps on Friday is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
